FMStyle: Last Chance Saloon: A Big Kolo Diary Last Chance Saloon: A Big Kolo Diary ================================================================================ NewsreadeR on 18 April, 2009 13:22:00 I wanted to start a story of my latest endevour into the game, however this will not be about updates of how im getting on, this is more of a diary of the emotions the game puts me through and how I am getting on with it. Hope you enjoy it. Hello Everybody, So it has come to this, my previously unwavering support of the great Football Manager series has been tested by SI Games latest masterpiece. Having seen my experiences of past games yield nought but success I expected much of the same as I loaded up the newest version. My previous attempts at managerial perfection had gone well on FM 2008 all the way back to FM 2006. On last years edition I took Swansea City to the Champions League final twice and won once, I will admit this seems pale by some of the standards paine has set but you try telling a sixteen year old me, that. FM 2007 also saw success with Nottingham Forest, two consecutive promotions followed by a fourth placed finish in my inagural season in the Premier League is probably my finest moment in FM history. As you may be able to tell by my own glowing reference, I like to think I am rather good at the game and expected FM 2009 to produce more top moments of Wenger like brilliance. It was not to be. After, first trying my hand at the helm of Leeds I discovered how much more realistic the game was. Team gelling issues, previously unheard of, crippled my title chances and I soon gave up. Take 2, I went again with Leeds and found that with shrewd spending I could get promoted quite easily, however I got bored easily with this game and I again quit. Now, after taking control of Gateshead, Leeds and previous attempts at Peterborough I found myself at the end of my tether. Could I have really become this bored and, perhaps more importantly, this bad at a game I had poured so many hours into. So I find myself in Last Chance Saloon, my alamo, the final attempt at becoming a great on FM2009. Through, this diary I will share with you my final foray as manager of Peterborough United. I hope you enjoy it and please leave comments. To be continued here, Big Kolo.
