Here a just few brief notes on the history of the mighty addicks!
June 9th, 1905
Charlton Athletic Football Club is formed by a group of teenagers on East Street (later known as Eastmoor Street).
1913
The club joins the Lewisham League and adopts senior status.
1920
The club turns professional and joins the Southern League, appointing Walter Rayner as the first manager.
1921
Charlton are elected to the Football League, joining the Third Division (South) in time for the 1921/22 season, which they would finish in 16th.
1928/29
The Addicks clinch their first ever promotion to the Second Division, but are relegated four years later.
1933
Jimmy Seed takes over as manager and leads the club to two successive promotions, finally reaching the First Division in 1936.
1934

I am not expecting many people to read this beacuse when it comes to Scottish Football most people only ever talk about Celtic and Rangers and to be honest most people from Scotland only support Celtic or Rangers (there a quite a few exceptions on this site though which is great to see)

History
Caledonian Thistle F.C. formed in 1994 following the merger of Caledonian and Inverness Thistle, both members of the Highland Football League, to fill a vacancy in the Scottish Football League. The club's name was amended to Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. in 1996 at the request of Inverness District Council.

Founded in 1898, Portsmouth are a professional English club currently playing in the English Premier Division. The club play their home games at Fratton Park and possess good training facilities and a good youth setup. The Portsmouth reserve team play at Westleigh Park. the is affectionately known as Pompey and retains a fierce rivalry with Southampton.
As a club which enjoyed its best spell of success during the 1940s and their last competition win coming as recently as 2008, Pompey are a club with a growing history. Portsmouth won the English top division in 1949 and 1950, won the FA cup in 1939 and 2008 and finished runners up on two occasions, and won the Community Shield in 1949.
