Napoli, a team that has had a checkered past to say the least. A team that can say that it did have one of THE best players in the world, a team with a huge fan base and massive stadium. But also a team that has had shall we say Financial Trouble.

But with the appointment of little know Steve Locking as there manager, a team that is about to change, a team that with hard work and dedication will take its place atop of Seria A.

Napoli have a squad that contain some talent, not world beaters you'd say but enough to hold there own and probably qualify for europe all be it the lesser competetions. They have know got a chairman that loves the club as much as the loyal fanbase and with home gates of nearly 50000 thats a possible income that would lift this team higher than there midtable mediocraty.

The Star players:

Pablo Cannavaro: The Younger brother of one of the most succsesful defenders in the modern game Fabio Cannavaro, whilst not achieving the same succsess as his elder brother Pablo is a accomplished defender in his own right.

Christian Maggio: A ahletic right sided player, equally adapt at fullback, wingback or a wide midfield position. Pacey and with a great attacking ability, Maggio provides much needed width to the Napoli Squad.

Marek Hamsik: The Star Man! The midfield playmaker, the tick to Napolis tock. Although young in year Hamsik has the mental abilities of a seasoned pro, able to dictate the game and make things happen. A target for nearly ever top club in europe.

But its not all good news, Napoli have no strength in depth. There Goalkeeper is ageing fast and the team is quite toothless upfront. So to acheive what was expected i'd have to improve the squad in all areas. I was given a generous 7 Million to do this and after targetting the players i wanted to get rid of and having some idea in my head of how i wanted Napoli to play i made my first signings for the club.
