Gateshead:Pre-season and Transfers

So I have started a game as Gateshead in the Blue Square North.I relised I would have to bring in a number of players if I wanted to challenge for promotion.I loaded all players from the countries that were suggested in the BSS/BSN thread.I was given a transfer budget of 20k and a weekly wage budget of 5k.I moved most of my transfer budget into the wage
budget and went after players on free transfers.Just before the start of the season these were my signings.
Most of the signings I made were signed out of the lower leagues in France and also you can see the 2 players I got from Middlesbrough who I got as a Parent club.The most important thing for me was to get the spine of the team right and then I added players for the wide positions.
My pre-season fixtures were good tests as I was playing clubs on a higher level than mine.The new signings fittted in well and I remained unbeaten throughout the pre-season.
The results against Rochdale was the most pleasing as they are a strong League 2 outfit and the hammering of BSP team Ebbsfleet was nice aswell.All my new signings seemed to gell together well which was something I thought would affect the team.
