League Table 22nd Feb:

1st. Zaragoza PLD25 59pts
2nd. SOCIEDAD PLD26 58pts
3rd. Las Palmas PLD26 53pts
4th. Tenerife PLD26 51pts.

My first aim has to be to move away from 4th so to secure promotion, I think that inless I lose lots of games in a row I reckon promotion is in the bag (although I'm not getting cocky yet

) and then I'll chase down Zaragoza. TBH I always expected them to win the league but I'm gonna try, if I can beat them in our league fixture it will be good.

After losing 0-1 to Las Palmas I have beaten Alaves 1-0 and Eibar 2-0 to get back on track

Yeh they have changed it. Their is 4 qualifying rounds then it is exactly the same as the champions league.

In real life they are giving it a new name next year as well I think it is a reall stupid name so I will keep calling it the UEFA CUP

My league has 8 games to go and the table looks like this (30 games played)

It is going to ba an interesting finish which includes games against Barcelona (away) Sevilla (home) Villareal (home) Valencia (away)

No it is never too late you have right up till the release of FM2010 so plenty of time but I would start now if you were thinking about it

Had a great win - beat Cordoba 4-1. Since tweaking tactic Darko Kova has 4 goals in 4 games

And my MC Emana got 2 in the 4-1 win

. League table after 27 games:

1st. Zaragoza 65pts
2nd. Sociedad 61pts
3rd. Las Palmas 53pts
------------------------
4th. Tenerife 52pts
5th. Levante 50pts

So as you can see 9 points ahead of 4th, keep this going and it's league BBVA for me

Bad news is Matinez is out for 5 months and Rendla has gone 700 minutes without a goal! And Pacheco hasnt scored yet.

Walrus of course you can do the challenge mate. Just don't be buying any players from Finland after your last game!!

They won't be good enough for the mighty Sociedad!

Their was even more of a sweat on when I got beat by Barca, R Madrid and Sevilla. I know their big teams that I dont expect to beat but those 3 in a row seemed to demoralise the squad but a 1-0 win away to racing put me 9 points clear with 5 games to go so I think I am pretty much their

My job is very secure. The rating for the league is at 64% and for the Spanish Cup it is at 70% for reaching the semi-finals when they wanted me to reach the 5th round so they are reasonably pleased

Well done Jack. The heat is on me now i don't want to be stuck in the Liga Adelante when you guys are battling with the big boys. Although spare a thought for poor Brilcent!

It was a shame but I was thinking about it and if you get relegated in your second season if you get promoted it would be almost impossible to complete the challenge.

Even if you go straight back up you have to survive in the 4th season and then win the league in the 5th. I would much rather spend the 2nd season of the challenge in adelante than the 3rd season

Im 7 points ahead of 18th with 3 games to go so I think I am pretty much safe especially with 2 of the last 3 games at home to teams also struggling
