Sorry this hasn't been updated lately, I am going on Holiday in the early hours of tomorrow morning for a week and will not get to update this. I would have done it today but I need to do some last minute packing and what not.

Again sorry for the lack of updates recently and I will continue this when I get back from my holiday.

Middlesbrough 1-1 Swansea City
Coca-Cola Championship

--- First Half ---

On a warm but wet day at the Riverside, Swansea City got a draw away to promotion favourites, Middlesbrough. Juninho Paulista remained confident after the game and thought his team would definately win the League in only his first season in charge for the club he played for not too long ago. Swansea played a strong side as you would have expected and Middlesbrough did not let get complacency get the best of them whilst they picked their line-up.

Swansea started the game off and were working hard from the start. This was proved when they scored in only the 3rd minute of the game. Wright found Rickie Lambert 25 yards from goal and he struck it on the volley and past Francesc Arnau of Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough found themselves creating more chances and had one in the 6th minute before having another just two minutes later. The first came when Mantorras attempted a thunderous drive which was well parried away by the Swansea 'keeper, Dorus de Vries. The second came when Mantorras found Julio Arca, who ran forward with the ball before striking it over the bar and out for a Swansea goal kick.

Middlesbrough were forced to make a substitution as Mantorras picked up an injury and was replaced by fellow striker, Victor. The injury didn't look to bad and we will have more news on the details of the injury as they develop.

Middlesbrough were threatening to get an equaliser and they were creating plenty of chances but they got the goal they wanted and in a vital time. Middlesbrough's Didier Digard had the goal at his mercy and delivered hope to the Boro Faithful. The crowd went crazy and the whistle for half-time was blew by referee, Steve Bratt

--- Second Half ---

I was a quiet second half and not many chances were created although Middlesbrough dominated and maybe should have won the game today. It was a well earned point for Swansea City and their manager will have been very pleased with the result that his team had gained.

Man of the Match: Rickie Lambert
