Default Real Sociedad - Fallen Stars

Real Sociedad
The story of Fallen Stars

Real Sociedad. Once considered a european challenging team in the Spanish footballing world, finishing second in 2003 and getting to the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League. With stars like Xabi Alonso and Nihat in Sociedad's ranks the future looked bright for the club.

But now an incredible fall from grace finds the club from San Sebastian rotting in the Liga Adelante, failing to win instant promotion back to the Liga BBVA Sociedad are now preparing for their second year as a second tier club.

But this time round they have Gianfranco Zola spearheading their attack on Spain. Anything is possible.

To be continued...

Yipedeedooda Rooney well done mate really looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Only gripe is the technical hitch with the first line - it don't make sense!!! Take out the words "in the" and it will be fine.

"Markel you dozy ****ing **** what are you doing!!!"

"Pass the ball"

"It was an open goal!!"

I trudged into my new office after a catastrophic first training session and pondered life as a manager. Me, Gianfranco Zola, a footballing Legend. This job was make or break for me. I looked in the draws in the old desk and found a battered, un-used diary. I deiced it would be interesting to jot down my life as a manager, maybe when this was over releasing a book, literature had always interested me.

The story of Fallen Stars

I joined the training session just in time for the match. We were doing Spaniards vs Foreign today, i knew it would be a good game. The spaniards had the likes of De Cerio, Goni and Aquino whereas the Foreign players had the likes of Teixeria, Nilmar and Vagner, it promisied to be a good game.

I watched on as the game developed in front of me. The foreigners had shaped themselves into my favored 4-2-3-1 formation, with Ljajic just behind Teixeira. I couldn't help but smile as Ljajic took a ball on the bounce and nonchalantly knocked it into Alex's path, bang 1-0. It was the same move that given us the win over Athletic Bilbao the week before.

I returned to my office and looked through my emails. We had the second leg of the Copa Del Ray coming up against Zaragoza in a few days. I then got another email from the chairman.

Quote:
We have decided to raise your transfer budget to 20 million. You are doing well and to have the team sitting in eighth is fantastic but i believe this 20 million will be enough to get us challenging Barca and Madrid at the top. Spend it Wisely Franco.
I was delighted to get the raise but had no clue where to spend it.

A couple of months a go i would have invested in a center back but Goni and Martinez have been on fire, especially Goni who had hit 7 goals in the last 4 games.

The center of the park was also a worry, defour has taken a while to fit in and i think he needs a more attacking partner alongside him to get the best from him.

Finally attack, Nilmar wasn;t performing anywhere near what i expected, De Cerio is attracting interest from Athletico Madrid and Purovic is the biggest flop ever. I will sell Purovic and De Cerio, keep Nilmar to se what he can do.

I checked the transfer listed players and was delighted to see Santa Cruz, giovinco, Grandin and Tiago all available. I would try my best to get them but there was someone else who i wanted.
