Jack these updates are superb well done mate. Read every single one of them cos you make them so easy to read. It really shows how far you come when you can draw against Barca at the Nou Camp - I remember the days when they would beat you easily *cough cough season 3. Glad to see you have a Scotsman in your squad i hope you keep the faith with Fleck but your team is so strong maybe a loan move would be good in January if he isnt performing. Getting 2 trophys in the bag already is fantastic i just hope the league is kind to you and dont make you play your backlog of fixtures all at once and knacker your team. Keep up the brilliant updates they are a joy to read!!

Thanks Kova I've actually beaten Barca 5 times in the last 6 attempts, twice at the Nou Camp, so I was not too happy with a point! But first game of the season is always hard, especially with them to play!

I remember in my very first season 3-0 down at the Nou Camp and scoring 3 times in injury time with a Prieto penalty, I went mental!

Fleck will probably move out for my 20 year old Spanish sensation who signed for Barca who left his min fee release on £19million and I pounced. Fleck will go as will Davide Santon. My best signing has been the left back Cabrera, he is insane! And my new tactic is working wonders, Saivet's last 5 games and he has averaged 7.64. And got a few goals, more to come on the tactic later when I'm at home.

Default Re: Real Sociedad Season 7 [2014/15] End of Season6 Update Done

We then travelled to AC Milan knowing that victory would secure us as group winners and if Benfica failed to beat Anderlecht we would be secured as group winners, which would mean I would be able to rest some players.

In my new 4-3-1-2 formation which was working well I put Enrique, Camacho and Buonocore across the middle with dos Santos sat in behind Saivet and Paloschi, who captained the side. Wilson, Albiol, Sand and Cabrera made up the defence and of course Asenjo sat between the sticks. AC Milan's Pato had not scored in 800 minutes of football and he was the loan striker in the Milan line up, with Kaka the only real attacking threat. AC Milan had an age-ing squad, and had not purchased well, with Aiden McGeady and Jonas Gutierrez, once of Boro and Newcastle respectively sat on the bench, not the world class you come to expect. However it had been a tough 1-0 win at the Anoeta so I was not sure what to expect.

We started well and it took just four minutes before Riccardo was hacked down in the box and Alberto Paloschi stepped up.
GOAL AC Milan 0 Sociedad 1 [Paloschi 4pen]
Milan looked a beaten side from then on and infront of nearly 80, 000 fans failed to show, many fans booed them throughout the half, however I knew with Kaka he only needed one chance, thankfully we had done well to silence him and Pato might as well not be on the pitch. It was dos Santos' threaded ball that doubled our lead, through over the defence to Alberto who got his second.
GOAL AC Milan 0 Sociedad 2 [Paloschi 19]
He had not been that great so far this season but now he seems back in form.

Not much to say really, the 2nd half kind of faded away, with only a stunning solo freekick from sub Marquinhos making it 3-0
GOAL AC Milan 0 Sociedad 3 [Marquinhos 55]
And so it ended, with Benfica drawing 2-2 in Belgium we secured our place as group winners.

Next up was Recreativo, with Henri Saivet's first half goal the only goal of a drab half, but when Lamas was sent off for Recreativo we exploited it fully in the second, fully deserving the 2 more we got thanks to Alberto Paloschi.
FT Sociedad 3 Recreativo 0

We still were not conceding goals which was a very good thing. We then played Salamanca in the Cup, with a 3-0 away victory from the first leg already under our belts. I played a few youth players with some experience as well and an own goal and goals from Saivet, Messi and Sangroniz secured a 7-0 aggregate win and set up a 5th round clash with Real Madrid. Bad news is Messi is out for 2 weeks.
FT Sociedad 4 Salamanca 0 [7-0 agg]

After the Salamanca victory we then had a tough league game away at undefeated Sevilla.

Sevilla 0 Real Sociedad 2 [Sakho, Paloschi]

We then hosted Las Palmas, it was hard as they set up to defend and we didn't play that well, thankfully we broke them down.
Real Sociedad 3 [Paloschi, Fleck, OG] Las Palmas 0

And a home game against Espanyol
Real Sociedad 2 [Sakho, Paloschi] Espanyol 0

With January approaching I've secured the signing of a wonder regen, screenshot coming soon. Fazio's age is telling and he is past his best so he will go, with Davide Santon also being shown the door. Marquinhos may also be going, 2 goals in 18 games and generally playing crap, with Man Utd rumoured to be placing a 35million bid for him, I think I will let him go. I will also be letting midfielder Sanchez Capdevilla (regen) who has not met potential and no longer can be a world beater. This may leave me short but I should have 80 million or so so I may or may not bring in players, depending on what I think.

Default Re: Real Sociedad Season 7 [2014/15] End of Season6 Update Done

After the Espanyol game we drew 0-0 away at Anderlecth in our CL group, I played a weak side as we had already been confirmed as group winners. John Fleck was our heroe at the Bernabea with a 85th minute goal to give us a 1-0 win over R Madrid, and then my reserve side beat Benfica 2-1 in our final CL game. We face Porto in the next round. We then beat our rivals Athletic 2-0 at the Anoeta, before travelling to Sweden from the Club World Championships. We beat Cruz Azul 3-0 in the semi and won the thing with a 3-0 victory over Gremio. We returned home with a 3-0 win over Celta, followed by the same scoreline victory at home to Villarreal. We then didn't play well but still managed to get a 2-0 win at Deportivo. We have one game left of this calender year.

We have been hit by injury, Paloschi, Saivet, Muir, Messi, De la Red, Buonocore amongst the few all to spend a few weeks out. dos Santos, our record signing went 20 hours without a goal and has not played well in the 19 games he has featured in so far. I am hoping for an improvement or he will be shipped out in the summer! I've also noticed some flaws in our squad, with Muir and Messi out we lacked a spark so I quickly found the spark, with Aguero joining in January, along with one of the worlds best strikers in Alberto Romero (regen) so our attack will be fine. Marquinhos however will be leaving, I just could not turn down a 46 million offer from Man Utd. Davide Santon is off to Man City as well for 15.5million.

Default Re: Real Sociedad Season 7 [2014/15] End of Season6 Update Done

Our last game of 2014 was a poor 0-0 draw at Zaragoza, although considering we had 6 first teamers out, we did okay. I'm not going to tell you every single result as I've now finished that season.

Spanish Cup:

5th Round:
Real Madrid (h) 2-1 win.
Real Madrid (a) 2-0 win. [Through 4-1 agg]

6th Round:
Ath Madrid (h) 3-1 win
Ath Madrid (a) 0-1 loss [Through 3-2 agg]

Semi:
Valencia (a) 5-0 win
Valencia (h) 2-1 win. [Through 7-1 agg]

Final:
Deportivo 5-0 win.

3 seasons in a row winners of the Spanish Cup!

Champions League:

Won our group.
1st KnockOut Round:
Porto (a) 4-2 win.
Porto (h) 5-1 win. [Through 9-3 agg]

Quarters:
Man Utd (h) 4-1 win.
Man Utd (a) 1-1 draw. [Through 5-2 agg]

Semis:
Arsenal (h) 0-1 loss (first home loss in all comps in over 2 years)
Arsenal (a) 3-0 win [Through 3-1 agg]

Final:
FC Bayern 1-0aet [MAMADOU SAKHO THE HERO]
Winners of the Champions League 2 years running!

League:

After the Zaragoza game we drew just once more, at home to Barca, and won every single match, as we went two seasons without defeat and won the league for the fourth season going, this season conceding just 3 goals all season in the league.

This is where I am at the moment, playing preseason friendlies.

Transfer wise we had a huge summer.

OUTS:

Giovani dos Santos => Inter
John Fleck => Liverpool
Federio Fazio => Fiorentina
Andoni Iturbe => Valencia
Ignacio Camacho => Chelsea

I brang in some huge names:

IN:

Carlos Vela
Miralem Pjanic
Sergio Ramos

And also loads of regens:
Alberto (MC)
Naser Al-Marzooqi (DM)
Victor Alcaraz (MC)

All 3 of the above are already world class and will get better.

I bought in the following players as huge future prospects:

Narciso Rivera (GK),
Rafael (ST),
Arkaitz Santos (ST),
Heninz Fielder (DRL),
Francisco Javier Font (DC)

Font has the potential to be the best defender of his generation.

So my team is like so. The formation I play is 4-3-1-2 with the 3 midfielders in the centre, and 1 AMC behind the strikers:

(R) = Regen
GK: Sergio Asenjo
Defenders:
->Matias Sand (R), Raul Ormaetxea (R), Sergio Ramos, Onyekachi Apam, Andy Wilson (R), Mamadou Sakho, Raul Albiol, Marvin Bayiha (R), Felipe Cabrera (R)
Midfielders:
->Miguel Veloso, Ruben De la Red, Naser Al-Marzooqi (R), Alberto (R), Enrique (R), Victor Alcaraz (R), Riccardo Buonocore (R)
Attacking Midfielders:
->MIralem Pjanic, Lionel Messi, Ross Muir (R)
Strikers:
->Henri Saivet, Sergio Aguero, Alberto Paloschi, Carlos Vela, Alberto Romero (R).

I'll update every few games or so with the results. With this side, I'm hugely confident of dominating once again.

WOW great update Jack and nice to see you back and winning trophys with Sociedad!!

Quote:
this season conceding just 3 goals all season in the league.
Thats incredible and by far the best record i have ever seen. Considering you have to go to the Nou Camp and Bernabeu i usually lose that aount in my first game. You have made some big decisions with the transfers so looking forward to seeing how the new guys get on. Good luck trying to get 3 Champions League trophys in a row.

I don't really know what it was, it just worked.

Might have to abandon it, just switched from a Windows machine to a new iMac and I'm having problems...not sure if you can transfer saves between different OSs.
