Default Redditch Utd: Bound for glory...or going bold at a young age.

Since I'm poor and can't afford FM2010 I'm still hacking away on FM09 trying to make my hometown team Redditch Utd rise through the leagues in a quest for glory, lets face it they aren't going to do it in real life are they.

8 - 1 thrashing to fleetwood then 4 - 1 to Worcester city in the same week, shameful....

anyways I decided to turn my back on my Weston super mare game and start again with Redditch, first thing i did when I started was cancel all the naff away games to non league teams and arranged some home friendlies with biggers clubs such as. Leicester, Derby, Northampton town, Cardiff, Wallsall and Kidderminster Harriers. Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Stoke City turned me down

When i was managing WSM i brought in a few Reunion players, but this time I just wanted to keep it mostly british....it didn't work after basically getting thrashed by all teams except for Kidderminster who i thought I was going to win they got a late penalty and drew level!

I decided to bring in 4 players from reunion, Guichard, Robert, Farro and Goree. Made a massive impact on my team and the ball flows nicely around the pitch. I also ask the board to select me a feeder club and was suprised they come back with Bolton Wanderers!

I'm still in the 1st season doing pretty well after a poor first few matches I've managed to rise to 2nd in the leauge and 1st round of they FA cup and to top it off got manager of the month for october!

My next game is against Wycombe Wanders away in the FA cup and I am not looking forward to it. Probably post the results online tonight. I'm keeping my spirits high but ATM wycombe are flying high. It's going to be a battle!

I will keep updating this thread on whats happening within the enternal struggle that is Redditch Utd!
